Do quartz countertops stain easily?
Special types of resins are mixed within the quartz during productions which helps make quartz countertops resistant to stains. They are extremely durable and are a nonporous surface. This means that any substance that may stain will not settle in small pores.

Do quartz countertops scratch easily?
Because of their durability, quartz countertops are scratch resistant under normal wear and tear. They are not indestructible though. It’s always recommended to use a cutting board when using knives.


Are quartz countertops easy to maintain?
Quartz countertops never need to be sealed – unlike granite, which needs a new protective top coat at least once a year. Because of this, quartz countertops are low maintenance.

Are quartz countertops resistant to heat?
Compared to granite and other natural stone countertops, quartz is not as heat resistant. The resin that is in the quartz surface makes it vulnerable to direct heat. You should use hot pads for hot pans or anything taken directly out of the oven.
