There are misconceptions and myths surrounding the natural stone, and as its popularity continues to increase, people have created preconceived ideas and made assumptions. Read on to be mind blown! MYTH: Granite countertops are absorbent. FACT: Although granite countertops are porous, they are not absorbent. We recommend that you have your countertops sealed to prevent any staining, but it's not likely that a spill will immediately soak into your counter!
